PHDCCI organized interactive session with delegates from Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce: Punjab State Chapter of PHDCCI organized an Interaction with Visiting Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce Delegation at PHD House Chandigarh.
The objective of the interaction was to explore the business, Investment & collaboration opportunities available in various sectors comprising of IT, Innovation, Infrastructure, Education, Startups, Tourism & Hospitality, International Law & Architecture.
ICCC Delegation included eleven Entrepreneurs led by Murarilal Thapliyal President Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Speaking on the occasion, R.S Sachdeva Chair Punjab State Chapter PHD Chamber and MD of Hi-tech Industries Ltd. highlighted the future prospects for trade and investment between India and Canada are significant. The inbuilt complementarity of the economies of both the countries offers innumerable opportunities and it is important that we build on the existing strong relations.
He apprised about Punjab International Trade Expo, annual flagship event of PHDCCI and extended an invitation to the delegates from Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce to participate. Murarilal Thapliyal President Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce emphasised on increasing bilateral trade between Canada & India in order to facilitate investment in Canada.
Speaking highly about PHDCCI for providing such a platform along with the support of the new Government, Thapliyal was optimistic about Punjab becoming a hub for Canadian Investment in the Industry. He thanked PHDCCI for hosting the delegation and invited PHDCCI delegation to Canada. Chirag Shah Corporate Secretary & Vice President IT ICCC, Prashant Srivastava, Vice President International Trade & Commerce ICCC, Deepak Shamnani Vice President-Events ICCC, Alok Nagpal Nominated Director Patnership Development & Sponsorship ICCC & Niraj Gautum,Chair-Montreal Chapter ICCC provided their insights on the sectors they presented during the programme. During the event, an IPR Helpdesk was also put up by IPFC Chandigarh with the support of the Ministry of MSME. The helpdesk collected inquiries related to intellectual property rights, and offered on the spot potential solutions to their queries. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Bharti Sood Regional Director PHDCCI.
Around 60 participants including ICCC delegates, Captains of Industry and Entrepreneurs from the region attended and showed keen interest in collaborating, partnering, and building business ties with their counterparts in Canada.
