President’s Police Medal for distinguished service to two IPS officers of Punjab Police

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Sh Viresh Kumar Bhawra,IPS, ADGP, Director,   Bureau of Investigation, Punjab and Sh. Ishwar Chander,IPS, IGP, Border Amritsar, Punjab have been awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Republic Day-2015.

According to a spokesman of Punjab Police Mr. Rajinder Singh, DIG, Crime Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, Mr. Tulsi Ram, Commandant, 80th BN PAP Jalandhar, Punjab, Mr. Parampal Singh, SP cum ADCP, City Amritsar, Mr. Sharanjit Singh, SP, Hqrs.,  Patiala, Mr. Sukhbir Singh, Inspector, SHO Nabha, Mr. Amarjeet Singh, Inspector, SHO Haibowal Ludhiana, Mr.  Charanjit Singh, SI, PRTC Jahan Khelan, Mr. Jaswant Singh, SI, CID Unit Chandigarh, Mr. Jagdish Singh, SI, CRC Jalandhar, Mr.  Channa Singh, SI, Commando Training Centre Patiala, Mr. Megh Raj Singh, SI, Police Lines Ludhiana,Mr. Bikramjit Singh, SI, SHO Kot Bhai, Mr. Ramesh Kumar, ASI, Narocotics Cell Amritsar, Mr. Naresh Kumar, ASI, PRTC Jahan Khelan, Mr. Ravi Dutt, ASI, O/O Commissioner of Police Amritsar, have been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has announced Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak and Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding devotion to Duty to 5 & 7 police officers/officials respectively. The spokesman further informed that Lady SI Jasmine Kaur (No. 867/Patiala), ASI Gurjant Singh(No. 3-IRB/130, HC Sukhwinder Singh (No. 2589/Ludhiana), HC(PR) Nehru Singh (No. 1283/Ludhiana) and Ct. Darshan Singh (No. 3-IRB/451) have been awarded Chief Minister’s Rakshak Padak .

Similarly, 7 more police officers/officials namely Mr. Rajinder Singh, SP/Investigation, Hoshiarpur, Mr. Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, SP(C&R), Investigation, Patiala, Insp. Kikar Singh, No. 36/FRD, Incharge , CIA, Ferozepur, Insp. Arwinder Singh, No. 417/BR, Incharge , CIA Staff, Commissionerate Amritsar, SI Manmohan Singh, No. 79/JR, OSI, Commissionerate Jalandhar, SI Sukhwinder Singh, No. 1196, Ludhiana, PRTC Jahan Khelan and SI Harjinder Singh, No. 90/FGS, CPO, Punjab, Chandigarh have been awarded Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding devotion to Duty, the spokesman added.
