Ritwik Munjal clinches top honours in Rafi Excelelnce Awards in Chandigarh


IMG_20141224_224134NewZNew (Chandigarh) : RITVIK MUNJAL, aged 15 years bagged top honours in Boys (Junior) category and won the 1st prize in Rafi Excellence Award. He sang the duet “Yeh Parda Hata do….” in the 31st Mohammad Rafi Memorial Night organized by Yaadgar-e-Rafi Society (Regd.) in collaboration with Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh in the memory of 90th Birth Anniversary of Rafi Sahib at Tagore Theater, Chandigarh. Ritvik Munjal is a student of 10th class in Saint Soldier School, Mohali.

Shri Madan Mohal Mittal, Hon’ble Industry Minister, Punjab along with Shri Yogesh Ji, a renowned Bollywood lyricist who penned melodious songs awarded the winners of all categories with trophies.

The Yaadgar-e-Rafi Society (Regd.) was formed in 1985 to protect and preserve the finest quality of light music in this part of region. The society organises singing contests every year and presents best singer awards for Male and Female (Junior and Senior categories) in the memory of great singer of millennium Rafi Sahib.
