NewZNew (Mumbai) : SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has not only touched the hearts of many viewers across the globe, but has also become a cult in the genre of comedy. The show is set to surpass another milestone as it completes 7 years on-air. The cast and crew cut a cake on the set to celebrate the occasion.
The show that defines comedy from the word go features many actors who rose to popularity using the platform and have now become a household name. Ever since its launch in 2008, the show became hugely popular and still continues to be one of the top rated shows in the Indian television space.
Year on year through every episode, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah has managed to entertain the audiences with its interesting and hilarious tracks. The show has always strived to bring unadulterated entertainment to its audience that span across all generations. Recently Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, invited the team to participate in his ‘Swachh Bharat’ mission.
The team was also invited to Disneyland Hong Kong to shoot for a special episode. Along with presenting various stories that depict slice of life situations the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team also organise an annual cricket tournament called the ‘Gokuldham Premiere League’. Whether it is supporting the ‘Save The Girl Child’ initiative or questioning the corrupt bureaucratic system, the show challenges and addresses contemporary social evils with a dash of humour along with corresponding gravity of the topic.
