NewZNew (Chandigarh – Kulbir Singh Kalsi) : Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society organized a free breast cancer screening along with cervical cancer and osteoporosis screening with the support of ‘Asha Jyoti’ PGIMER at DAV Public School, Derabassi today, Tuesday, 9th December, 2014.
The free screening services were provided to 45 women living in residential areas of Ashiana Colony, Gulmohar City, Bhankarpur, Mubarakpur, Devinagar, Dappar, etc.
It is believed that this kind of services were not provided earlier. The women appreciated the efforts of Sahayta for spreading awareness among women and motivating them for preventive screening.
The nearby people requested Sahayta to organize more such campaigns in nearby places, especially in rural areas.
