NSS DAV College Chandigarh hosted a cultural and interactive programme for the 30 member delegation from Sri Lanka, who were in Chandigarh for International Youth Exchange Programme under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, New Delhi.The delegates visited the college today along with officials from the Ministry. The programme started with informal interactive session in which the NSS volunteers and delegates exchange their views and discussed about the various youth outreach programmes in both the countries.
The cultural programme included Ganesh Vandana, Assamese Bihu, Manipuri Dance and Bhangra that were thoroughly enjoyed by the delegates. They also shared their views and performed Sri Lankan song and dance items. DAV College Principal, Dr. BC Josan and Sri Bikram Rana, Liasion officer NSS UT CHD. welcomed the delegation & Ministry officials. This programme was a great learning experience for the students of both the countries.
