NewZNew (Chandigarh) : To meet the long pending demands of employees to provide houses to them, the Executive Committee of Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) today finalized the blueprint of the policy to allot houses to the employees of the Government, its Boards, Corporations and other entities including retirees.
The policy blueprint was approved after detailed deliberations during the Executive Committee meeting of Punjab Urban Development Authority held under the chairmanship of Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal, Chief Secretary Punjab. Chief Secretary stressed that special focus of the scheme should be to provide affordable flats to Government employees especially to Group C and Group D employees on priority, and further to Group A and Group B employees also.
The policy will cover all the employees working in State Government, State Public Sector Undertakings and Corporations. Applications under the scheme will be sought from the employees after the final approval of the policy at the level of Chief Minister, Shri Parkash Singh Badal.The meeting was attended by Mr. D P Reddy, Principal Secretary Finance, Mr. Viswajit Khanna, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Manvesh Sidhu, CA, PUDA apart from other officials of the concerned departments.
