The official examination website facilitated by Anna University hosts the TANCET exam results. Candidates need to use the registered email ID and password to check the result of the TANCET 2022 exam.
Besides the result on declaration over the official portal, candidates can also download the TANCET scorecard from June 10. The scorecard of TANCET exam is downloadable until June 30. Scorecard, admit card, and other documents are required at the time of counselling for MBA, MCA, ME/ MTech/ M.Arch/ MPlan course admission at the TANCET participating institutes.

How to Obtain Duplicate Scorecard?
In case, candidates’ mark sheet is misplaced or lost, they can request a duplicate mark sheet by writing to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai. Candidates need to pay Rs 100 through Demand Draft for obtaining the mark sheet. The contact details are given below

TANCET 2022 Results: Calculation of Score
Candidates can check below the marking scheme defined by the examination authority for various courses.
- For each correct answer, candidates are awarded 1 mark
- For each incorrect answer, 1/3 marks are deducted
- For choosing multiple options as the answer, 1/3 marks are deducted
- In Part II of ME / MTech/ MArch / MPlan, all correct answers up to 20 are given marks while for the wrong answer there is negative marking
TANCET Result 2022: What is Normalisation of Marks?
The normalisation of marks is done for ME/ MTech/ MArch / MPlan programmes only. The question paper of the entrance test is divided into three parts – Part I (Engineering Mathematics), Part II (Basic Engineering & Sciences) and Part III (meant for different disciplines). Part I and II are common for all programmes while Part III is different. As a result, the mean mark and standard deviation vary as per disciplines in Part III. To bring uniformity in variations, marks of candidates are normalised. The formula for calculating the normalized marks is given below.

What After TANCET 2022 Results?
Candidates who will clear the entrance exam will appear for counselling based on their scores and ranks. TANCET counselling registration usually starts in Mid-July. The counselling is conducted separately for each course. To appear for counselling, candidates need to first register themselves. TANCET rank list will be published after the registration process.
TANCET 2022 Cut off
The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure to qualify for the exam. TANCET cut off is calculated by taking into account various factors such as the total number of appeared candidates, number of seats, the difficulty level of question papers etc. The cutoffs are different for different programmes and colleges. Based on TANCET cut off 2022, candidates are allotted seats.
TANCET 2022 Rank List
Anna University releases three separate TANCET rank lists – GATE Category, TANCET Category and Sponsored Category. TANCET rank list is prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in the entrance test and GATE. The rank list will be as per the candidate’s category and performance in the exam for admission in the respective course. The lists will be available on Anna University’s official website.

TANCET Rank List for Sponsored Category
- A certain number of seats are reserved for candidates employed and sponsored by government organisations, government-aided educational institutions and registered professional architects with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Rank list for this category will be prepared on the basis of the TANCET 2022 score.
- Candidates with a minimum 5-year professional experience will be considered for admission to the MArch programme at the University of the Department of Anna University and School of Planning and Architecture.
TANCET 2022 Counselling
Candidates who feature in the TANCET rank list will be eligible for appearing in TANCET Counselling. Admission will be offered depending upon the seats available based on the merit of the candidates who attend counselling as per the reservation norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates who do not attend the counselling shall have to forego the claim of admission. A candidate can get an allotment for one programme only.
TANCET 2022 Counselling for MBA/MCA
TANCET 2022 counselling for MBA and MCA programmes will be conducted at Anna University. Candidates are required to make a payment of Rs 5,300 (Rs 1,150 for SC/SCA/ST Tamil Nadu candidates) in the form of a Demand Draft, which includes a non-refundable fee of Rs 300 towards the counselling fee (Rs 150 for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu). The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of ‘The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University payable at Chennai.
TANCA 2022 Counselling for ME/MTech/MArch/MPlan
Candidates who have applied for ME/MTech/MArch/MPlan programmes based on their scores in GATE 2018/ 2019/ 2020 will be considered for TANCA Counselling. Along with a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST/SCA), the candidates are required to have any one of the following:
- TANCET 2022 Score
- GATE 2022 qualified valid Score in the appropriate discipline of Engineering/Technology
- GATE 2022 qualified valid score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) along with TANCET 2022 score
