NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Tressed –Up International Academy (TIA), Manimajra, Chandigarh held it’s Annual Function at Bal Bhawan, Sec 23, Chandigarh. The Chief Guests on the occasion were Poonam Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh (UT) & Pardeep Chhabra, President, UT Congress. TIA specializes in giving practical training to those who want to attain skills for getting placements in the ever growing Beauty Industry. Diplomas in areas like Hair, Skin & Make Up are provided to students.
The event had a unique format. 45 students of TIA took part in it with models. In the First presentation the students did Bridal Make Ups for the Models and then the models did a catwalk to showcase these. In the second display of skills by students of TIA, models were given Party Make Ups and they did a small ramp walk to show this work also. In both the walks the students also accompanied the models. The students apart from showing the skills they attained at the Academy also presented cultural items. One such showcase was an act based on the Halloween Theme. In this students donned attires & Make Up that went well with the theme of the act they presented – ‘Halloween’. This was appreciated by the audience & after this ‘Beach Wear’ round was held that saw some trendy beach fashion.
Mehboob Khan, Director, Tressed-Up International Academy, said, “We noticed that there was no option available for women & men who wanted to do hair, beauty, skin etc related career oriented courses in the tri-city, so we started this Academy which has all facilities to teach these vocational courses to desirous candidates. Our USP is as an emphasis on practical training. We have ultra modern hi-tech labs And Cibtac & Cidesco (UK) certified staff. For the first time Air Brush make-up is being taught on International machines in the region. There are capsules which will equip students get jobs even abroad.”
The Annual Function saw giving away of One Year Diploma Certificates to passing out students by both the Mayor Poonam Sharma & Pardeep Chhabra, President of Chandigarh Congress. The Diplomas were given in disciplines of Hair, Skin & Make Up.
