Raj Malhotra’s IAS Study Group is unique & not like usual commercial centres, as it has been set up with social responsibility & compassion as cornerstones. Explains Mr. Raj Malhotra, “ I lost my father in 2001. It was an untimely death and my family was in such financial trouble that i could not even afford a training programme for Civil Services — my dream career, due to high fees. After what happened to me i always wanted family situations not to come in the way of youngsters motivated to enter Civil Services. Today that dream seems to have come true.” Adds Raj, “We will be coaching students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of Society Free of Cost. 10 per cent of the strength of a batch will be reserved for such students.”

In the press meet Manish Bansal a candidate of EWS category was also present. Manish is son of a labourer and lives in Mauli Jagran. Said Manish, “The Academy is a Godsend for me as though i want to get into the Civil Services but did not know where to go for training as all Institutes are commercial in nature and charge hefty fees which my father cannot pay. Now I will work hard under the tutelage of Raj Sir so that i enter the Civil Services and this way I will be able to serve my Nation & help my family also.”

It was announced at the Media Meet that meritorious students & University or College toppers will get a 50% fee waiver. A student who has lost his father or mother will be given a 50 per cent fee waiver and those from such families who are in major financial problem will be trained free of cost.  In case a student is the only girl child of the family she will also be given substantial fee waivers. The fee for the one year course will be very competitive and installments will be accepted unlike academies which take full down payments.

There will be some very interesting firsts that the Civil Services training academy will introduce. Personal Mentorship will be available around the clock to students. This means that in case a student wants to clear some doubt; he or she can meet or call Instructors at any time of the day. Raj Malhotra’s IAS Study Group also plans to start online video conferencing with smaller training centres across North India where-in experts will deliver quality content so that students in smaller cities do not suffer and are brought abreast with the latest.
