NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : As many as 110 female teachers from tricity different schools attended a health seminar on women’s related health issues at Max Super Speciality Hospital (MSSH), Mohali today.
During occasion, Mr. Sandeep Dogra, VP and Zonal Head, Max Hospitals Punjab, Dr Sudheer Saxena, Director and Head, Cardiology Department, Dr NM Gupta, Director, Department of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Dr Seema Wadhwa, Sr consultant, Gynecologist and Laparoscopy Specialist educated the teachers on the variety of issues related to women’s health.
Dr Saxena talked about on topic ‘even women can have heart attacks’. He deliberated on how working women could adopt a healthy lifestyle and avoid stress on themselves. The stress could be harmful to the health of their heart.”
Dr. Wadhwa spoke on the ‘Latest innovations in Laparoscopic Gynecology’. She said that according to statistics , one in every 3 women would get their uterus removed by the time they were 60-year of age. But with the latest techniques such as Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy and Colposcopy and timely health check-ups, uterus removal could be avoided.
Dr Gupta spoke about Hysterectomy as being one of the most common gynecologic surgery. Mr. Dogra said that teachers were the backbone of society. They were the primary catalyst in enriching the students minds, he asserted.
