NewZNew (Bathinda) : In the placement mela of Government Polytechnic College’s computer and IT department, 16 companies participated and 42 students have been selected for various jobs.
The chairman zila parishad Bathinda Mr Gurpreet Singh Maluka distributed appointment letters to the selected students. College Principal Mr Yadwinder Singh welcomed the chief guest Mr Maluka and other people present. Through his power point presentation he highlighted various achievements of college and said that every year in the month of March college holds placement mela to help its diploma holders get jobs before they complete their diploma course. He encouraged the students work with complete dedication and bring laurels to their families and college.
Speaking at the event, Mr Gurpreet Singh Maluka congratulated the selected students, their teachers and the principals. He said it was a matter of proud for Bathinda to have Government Polytechnic College that was taking new strides in field of technical education. He called upon the youngsters to stay away from drugs.
Computer department’s training and placement officer Dr Sushil Kumar Singla said that college tries to get maximum number of its students placed in different sectors. He thanked Smart Edge Education MD Sukhwinder Singh Sra and Mind Pully Solutions’ representative Avinash Singla for selecting students from the college.
