Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Mr. Anil Vij has taken strict cognizance of the closed All Weather Swimming Pool at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium in Ambala Cantonment.

Today, children who go swimming met Cabinet Minister Anil Vij and complained about the swimming pool being closed. On this, Minister Anil Vij immediately spoke to the State Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam. While talking to journalists in this regard, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said that “Some children came to me and told me that the international level All Weather Swimming Pool at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium is not functioning. He said that he had built this swimming pool and he was shocked to hear that children are not able to take advantage of the swimming pool and it has been closed”.

Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said that in this matter, he spoke to the State Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam over the phone and said that this is wrong. Therefore, you should take cognizance of this and take action against the District Sports Officer (DSO) for the swimming pool being closed and its tender not being done till now. Minister Anil said that now the tender cannot be done in a short time, so he requested the Sports Minister that the swimming pool should be run by the government itself.

On the other hand, Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam gave full assurance to Cabinet Minister Anil Vij on the phone and said, “Vij sahab, you tell the children that the swimming pool will be operational from the evening and the government will run this swimming pool itself”.

All weather swimming pool built with the efforts of Cabinet Minister Anil Vij It is worth noting that with the efforts of Cabinet Minister Anil Vij, an international level all weather swimming pool was built in the War Heroes Memorial Stadium of Ambala Cantonment. This swimming pool is equipped with modern facilities in which swimming can be done even in winter. A warm-up swimming pool has also been built along with the swimming pool. Many Khelo India and other national level competitions have been held in this swimming pool. But the players were feeling disappointed due to the swimming pool not being operational in these summers, on which Minister Anil Vij took cognizance.
