newznew (S A S Nagar) : Ashmah International School, Sector 70 celebrated its magnificent Annual Day entitled as Virsa . The theme Virsa as befitted with the thought of keeping alive the Indian tradition and folk in this age of westernization. Balbir Singh Dhol DPI schools presided over the function as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with the lightning of the ceremonial lamp by Chief Guest Balbir Singh.
The cultural programme based on Virsa commenced with scintillating Welcome Dance followed by Ganesh Vandana depicting obeisance to the Almighty. The tiny tots delivered a beautiful message of spreading love everywhere so that world becomes more beautiful without hatred and crime. The other mesmerizing performances of the evening were Malwai Giddha, Sammi and Bhangra which showed that Punjabi folk is one of the richest heritage of Indian culture.
Chief Guest Balbir Singh, DPI Schools while addressing the students stated the importance of quality education. He said that when we appreciate students, it’s like we are rewarding our state or country’s future. He added that students should be imparted excellent so they can effectively serve their state as well as their nation. The Chief Guest congratulated and appreciated the management and staff for grooming students to have Indian Cultural roots. Director J. S. Kesar motivated the students with his inspirational words. The Cultural programme culminated with the National Anthem.
