More than 10 countries are participating at CII Agro Tech 2014 including Canada, Italy, Israel, Germany, Spain, France, Poland, South Africa, The Netherlands and Russia are the international participants this year; the expo is also host to industry delegations from Gambia and New Zealand. This is a reflection of growing international interest in Indian agriculture and paves a way for greater cooperation across the international agri business frontiers for India.

Sharing his experience Bob Behari, CEO and President of EnviroWay who is running a company which set us up Water treatment Plants for making waste water usable, in Delhi for past ten years shared his experiences. Based in Saskatchewan for over 30 years, Behari shared that it was his love for his country that made him come back and set up a project here in the country. “Water is very critical and while surface water is contaminated, ground water is depleting. India should be concerned about it. I have set up business to treat water in Delhi and I am doing so for past ten years without any objective of profits. My motive is only to do something in good faith for the country and so far have not even taken a penny out of India, what ever I have earned, I have invested it back”.

“While the present government looks promising, the previous ones did not show much interest into this critical area. It is only because of support from Industry here in India that I have been able to sustain my work. The government in Canada helps one to develop but here in India, there is a need to remove bottlenecks and re tapism”,added Behari.

He added that there are talks that ganges river cannot be cleaned but there is nothing like that. He shared that the same can certainly be cleaned. We just need several water treatment plants at various entry points of different nallas in to the rivers.

“We can contribute a lot to the Swachh Bharat campaign too”, he added.

Talking about his expansion projects, he said that he was keen to work with Chandigarh Administration as the same looks very promising and he will be expanding his base here in the city.
