Chandigarh Spinal Rehab takes pledge to make ‘City Beautiful’ wheelchair accessible: To commemorate World Spinal Cord Injury day, the team of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab in Sector 28 here took a pledge to make a concentrated effort along with the local administration and other stakeholders to make our City Beautiful completely wheelchair accessible to facilitate safe and free movement for persons on wheelchairs.
Chandigarh Spinal Rehab is a rehab centre for people with spinal cord injury and other neurological issues like brain injury, stroke etc.
It is a young but committed organization working towards transforming and empowering lives of persons with spinal cord injury and brain injury.
Mrs. Nicky P. Kaur, Founder and CEO of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab said, “The team of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab also pledged to work in association with other similar organizations to step up efforts at various levels to promote road safety and thereby minimize road accidents. We intend to start first at the local level hoping to effect ripples of change at the national level.”
“More than 65 percent of our patients have been victims of road accidents hence this pledge for this cause since we feel that prevention is better than cure,” she added.
