NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Over 200 children from tricity displayed their creativity through colours and imaginations on City Beautiful – Chandigarh at a painting competition under the aegis of Winter Shopping Carnival today at Exhibition Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh. The same organisers created the record by slicing the 251 long Christmas Cake to mark the festivity.
The competition was organised under three categories – 5 to 7 years, 8 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years which draw a tremendous response from children and their parents. Nakshita stood first while Nishita and Harshit Malik places second and third respectively in 5 to 7 years age category. Mishika won the competition while Trivhsa and Usha Kiran consoled with second and third position in 8 to 12 years. Om managed first position whereas Gumtas Singh and Akash Gupta placed second and third in 13 to 15 years age category.
The theme of the competition was City Beautiful – Chandigarh in which participants gone through imagination varied from tourist spot, cleanliness to as far as vision of Smart City. Ms Angel and her team conducted two hour long competition and regaled the audiences while Mr. Ravinder Sharma from Govt. College of Arts, Chandigarh also an eminent artist was the judge the competition.
The winners were honoured with prizes and all the participants received certificates.
