NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Mr Amarbir Singh, Proprietor, Indian Polymer Industries has been elected as the new Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chandigarh Council, while Mr Dinesh Dua, CEO & Whole Time Director, Nectar Life sciences Ltd has taken over as the new Vice Chairman for the year 2015-16.

Mr Amarbir Singh is the Proprietor of Indian Polymer Industries (IPI), which is an ISO-9001: 2008 (TUV) certified company and is one of the leading rubber component manufacturing company of the region. The company is known for its quality products, efficient delivery schedules, strong customer care and R&D section.

With its in-house R&D facilities, tool room and highly skilled manpower, IPI has a track record of conforming to the best industrial standards, develop customised components, and maintain consistent quality norms to ensure complete reliability.

Mr Dinesh Dua, Chief Executive Officer & Whole Time Director of Nectar Life sciences Ltd (NLL) has over 35 years of professional experience across varied industries in leadership positions such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and consumer goods.

Immediately prior to NLL, a US$ 310 Mn, niche company in life sciences, Mr Dua was the Managing Director of Akorn India Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of US MNC, Akorn Inc. He has also worked in multinational organizations such as Hoechst (Sanofi Aventis), Berger Paints and large Indian Corporates like Reliance, Jubilant Organosys, Zydus Cadila Healthcare & as President of Wockhardt Ltd’s International & Biotechnology Strategic Business Unit (SBU).

Mr Dua holds Masters in Business Management (M.B.A.)-1979 batch from Harvard Business School promoted, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He is also a visiting faculty to leading & reputed Management Institutes in India.
