CII Delegation Calls on Adviser to the Administrator : CII delegation led by Mr Sofi Zahoor, Chairman, CII Chandigarh Council, met Mr Manoj Kumar Parida, Hon’ble Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh, at UT Secretariat, today, to discuss how CII could facilitate administration in their various developmental initiatives.
Interacting with the CII delegation, Mr Manoj Kumar Parida highly appreciated CII’s role in socio economic ecosystem of the region and in ensuring that the industry and societal balance continues to be vibrant and value accretive.
Considering CII’s recommendation, he said that the idea to develop Chandigarh as a weekend city is great, owing to the city’s geographical location. He also emphasised on promoting partnership programmes between the research and educational institutes in Chandigarh region and industries. He shared that the city administration’s focus is to develop Chandigarh into a Green, Smart & Beautiful City.
The visit was aimed to further strengthen CII’s connect with the government and administration in terms of CII Chandigarh’s objectives for the year 2019 – 20 namely smart city project, tourism, education & skill development, healthcare, start-ups, entrepreneurial development, e-mobility, IT & ITeS, ease of doing business and socio-economic initiatives.
CII reaffirmed its complete commitment to Chandigarh Administration to work together & ensure that Chandigarh becomes the ‘Smartest City’ in India & later on in the world.
