NewZNew (Mohali) : The Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS), the flagship institute of Continental Group of Institutes (CGI), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Manitoba Institute of Trades & Technology (MITT), Canada enabling the students taking admissions at CIIS to study at Canada and work 20 hours per day. Principal of CIIS Harpreet Kaur and Director, Institutional Partnerships for MITT Ellen Brownstone signed the MoU for cooperation from both the institutes on mutual consent. The CIIS already imparts international education in India as an offshore campus to various colleges and universities in Canada, NZ and UK for more than a decade. Lt. Col. BS Sandhu, President, Continental Group of Institutes said that with the signing of MoU with MITT Canada follows a friendly international student policy and caters to thousands of students from across the border.
This cooperation will include exchange of faculty and students, participation in seminars and academic meetings, exchange of academic materials and other information and special short-term language and academic programs.After completion of the programs as designed under accelerated model at CIIS, the students can take transfer to MITT Canada for the completion of the rest of the course. This tie-up will create immense opportunities for the deserving students who are willing to pursue education in Canada with unique transfer opportunities. Students can work up to 20 hours per week while they are studying at MITT, he said.
