CIIS Signs MoU with Canada’s Seneca Polytechnic for Global Education Pathway:
Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS) has signed a landmark academic agreement with Canada’s Seneca Polytechnic to offer globally recognised diploma programs to Indian students.

CIIS Signs MoU with Canada’s Seneca Polytechnic for Global Education PathwayAnnounced at a formal ceremony attended by educationists, defence veterans and civil service officers, the collaboration will allow students to complete their first year at CIIS, Sector 31, Chandigarh, before transferring to Seneca’s Toronto campus for the remaining two years.

Two advanced diploma programs will be offered under this initiative:

Business Administration – Purchasing & Supply Management Computer Programming & Analysis

Dr. Marianne Marando, Vice-President of Business Development & International at Seneca Polytechnic, and Mr. Prashant Srivastava, Executive Director, were present from Canada to mark the occasion. “This partnership reflects our commitment to global education pathways that empower students with international exposure and opportunity,” said Dr. Marando.

Mr. Srivastava highlighted that both institutions will provide integrated support in academics, language development, and cultural orientation to ensure a smooth transition to life in Canada. Col. Sandhu, Chief Managing Director of CIIS, termed the partnership a “proud moment,” noting that it opens up Canadian-quality education to Indian students from home. “Our aim is not just academic success but a smooth cultural and professional integration,” he said.

CIIS Senior Director Mr. Sandhu added, “This initiative nurtures future-ready global professionals equipped to thrive in dynamic international environments.” Distinguished attendees included Gen. H.R.S. Mann, Prof. Kuldeep Dhindsa, former Income Tax Chief Commissioner J.S. Ahluwalia, Gen. K.S. Mann, Gen. S.S. Sandhu, Dr. Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh of Punjab University, CIIS Campus Director Amandeep Ghuman and GM, International Relations, Amandeep Pahwa. The first intake for the joint program will commence in September 2025. Graduates will be eligible for Canada’s Post-Graduate Work Permit, opening doors to global work opportunities and potential permanent residency.
