City to host two-day Taekwondo Championship: The two-day “6th GTA Cup Taekwondo Championship” will be organized by Emerald Martial Arts from 30 November to 1 December at Carmel Convent School, Sector 9.
Giving information in this regard, the head of Emerald Martial Arts and the organizer of the championship, 5th Dan Black Belt Master Shiv Raj Gharti and 2nd Dan Black Belt Kavita Rai said that they have been organizing this championship from the last 5 years in tricity on a grand scale.
Master Shiv Raj Gharti informed that approximately 600 participants from different states across the country will participate in the “6th GTA Cup Taekwondo Championship”. In this championship, players from the age of 4 to 17 will participate. The students will compete under 3 different events – Kyorugi means Fight, Geokpa means breaking and Poomsae.
Apart from this, a special Challenge Cup Competition is also conducted in which the winners of both categories (boys and girls) are awarded a big trophy and cash prize with a total amount of Rs 1 lakh.
Master Shiv Raj Gharti welcomes all participants and wishes them good luck for the championship.
