NewZNew, Oct 17, 2015 : It was all about accomplishments and celebrations at ‘Xpressions 2015’ the annual day of Aanchal International School, 41-D, Chandigarh , celebrated at Auditorium of Motiram Arya School, here on Saturday, celebrated with gaiety and fervor. The evening was packed with amusing cultural programs with the team of students. Amidst a backdrop of multi-hued depiction of the rich Indian culture the program commenced with the customary lighting of the ‘Deepshikha” by the Chief Guest Sh Rajiv Tiwari , District Treasury Officer Chandigarh Administration accompanied by Managing Director H K Sood & Principal Mrs Manju Sood & other dignitaries.
The magnificent show unfolded to a wide array of cultural extravaganza and left the audience enthralled. The highlight of the show was that a majority of the sequences had been conceived, choreographed, directed and presented by the students themselves. The cultural program began with Ganesh Vandana and dance performance by school boys & girls dressed in beautiful attires paying tributes to Lord Ganesha and prayed for peace and happiness for everyone. Up next the audience’s warmed up to a spell binding amazing spectacle showcasing the rich Punjabi culture with Bhangra . The boys surprised the way they performed their antics. The same was followed by English play wherein students interestingly staged a series of small skits in which various feelings of human heart were described, feelings like comedy, thankfulness, love, sorrow, pride & happiness. Students from junior section made their maiden attempt on the big stage dressed in bright and colorful attires in a performance showcasing a unique engagement of fruits & vegetables which enthralled everyone in their childhood. Thereafter macho “Aanchalites” put up a spectacular show on Self Defence Taekwondo techniques. The same was followed by Hindi play wherein students made everyone aware on impact of scarcity of drinking water in times to come. Performances by the students ended with an energy loaded Umbrella dance & Group Song sung by class 10 girls on Women empowerment.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Manju Sood read out the Annual report and made the parents aware of the achievements during the year in different disciplines. Congratulating the students, Principal Mrs Manju Sood said, “I am proud of my students and my faculty, whose hard work is instrumental in bringing about such a wonderful result” .
Awarding the prizes to the winners, Chief guest Rajiv Tiwari said, “I am delighted to see the school students moving towards the development of the country through their outputs in academic, sports & cultural activities. The programme presented today is the portrayal of the complex issues being confronted on the national & international front. Here not only the problems have been shown, but the suggestive measures to sort out the problems have also been given simultaneously.
