Complete the Developmental works soon in District, ADC

NewZNew (Bathinda) : The Additional Deputy Commissioner  (development) Mrs Sonali Giri today reviewed the sttaus of various developmental works going on the district and directed the officers to complete these works soon so that people do not face any kind of problem.

She directed the concerned officers to complete their reports on status of toilets in village in the district and file the same within 15 days so that the needs houses can immediately provided with this facility. Passing instructions to the B and R, Mandi Board and Public Health department she directed that the works on link roads, government buildings and water works should be taken up seriously and completed within stipulated time period. She added that any kind of lackadaisical attitude in executing development works would not be tolerated.

Mrs Sonali Giri said that there should be no unauthorized encroachments in the district and the same, where ever present, should be removed.  She appealed the people of district to remove unauthorized encroachments themselves or else the administration would be forced to take strict action against it.

Presiding over the meeting on district road safety, the District Transport Officer Mr Latif Ahmed said that very soon a driving school is being introduced in the district and the school would be successful only when people consider safe driving as their responsibility and follow the traffic rules. He said that to curb underage driving the parents would have to play main role and mitigate the accidents. He added that the yellow line on city roads would be darkened and the pressure horns would be removed from all the private and government buses. He said that wrong parking would be dealt with sternly and no one would be spared.

Prominent among others present in the meeting included SDM Maur Mr Paramdeep Singh, SDM Talwandi Sabo Mr Vinay Kumar, SDM Rampura Phul Mr Sakattar Singh Bal, assistant commissioner (general) mr Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, DDPO Mr Rajinder Batra and other senior officers.
