The Chandigarh – Punjab Union of Journalists (CPUJ) has strongly condemned the incidents of violent attackes on media persons by the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Ram Rahim Singh yesterday in Panchkula and Sirsa.
The Union President Vinod Kohli said the media persons were performing their duty while they were attacked.The violent mob not only thrashed some media persons but also burnt number of vehicles.
He also criticized the statement of Haryana DGP for holding media itself responsible for the loss of their vehicles.
