NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Deep Sidhu’s first Punjabi film Ramta Jogi went down well with the audience who saw a new action hero in Deep Sidhu. The film has also gained popularity on You Tube and has crossed one million mark recently.
Chiseled body and a physique to watch out for Deep is finally living his dream of being an actor. But not many know that he has actually let his running and flourishing career take a back seat for the same. Deep is a well-known name in the Bollywood circuit, the one time lawyer has successfully handled legal movie issues of popular Bollywood production houses and actors. He is the man who has given wise legal advices to directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, to Vijeyta Production House and many successful A list actors.
It is however his passion in acting that made him jump into it whole –heartedly. Deep doesn’t come ‘strictly’ from a filmi background, he totally believes in hard work getting him through singer –dominated industry.
Shares Deep Sidhu as he gets ready for his second untitled Punjabi venture. “I know that it is a singer ruled film industry but I also see that there is space for everyone else who dreams of making it big in this industry. I am glad that I had a chance to work with Guddu Dhanoa, the audience have received my role and looks both pretty well. Now, I hope to take up more Punjabi films and work sincerely on them.” Deep will leave no stone unturned for his passion, he would soon be leaving for Serbia for training in action and fight. “I am not ear making myself as an action hero, at the same time, I want to be prepared for the same. I want to bring about a new kind of professional action in Punjabi films.”
Even though he doesn’t believe in flaunting it, Deep Sidhu has a strong backing of the Deol family. “Each member of this family is very supportive, especially Sunny and Bobby Deol. I have always learnt a lot from their experiences and they still keep guiding me on the same.”
If there is one thing that Deep wouldn’t want to do is to get stereotyped in one kind of role, even if it is action. “I might surprise everyone by doing an all out art film next,” he smiles.
