Under the orders issued by District Magistrate Barnala Mr. T. Benith, transportation of cow dung without any documentary proof has been banned in Barnala district and there will be a complete ban on transportation of cow dung in any way after sunset in the evening and before sunrise in the morning.
He said that those who have kept cow dung should get them registered with the Deputy Director Animal Husbandry so that no untoward incident can happen regarding cow dung.
In another order, the District Magistrate Barnala has issued orders to completely ban the sale/purchase, storage and use of synthetic/plastic strings/china strings and manja (thread with glass powder) used for flying kites/dolls in the district.
This ban will not apply to thread strings.Through the following orders, a complete ban has been imposed on taking out processions, raising slogans, spreading inflammatory propaganda, gathering of five or more persons and carrying of gandasa, sharp-edged swords, axes, explosive materials and other deadly weapons/arms in public places within the limits of district Barnala to maintain law and order. These prohibitory orders will remain in force till July 18, 2025.
