District level vigilance and monitoring under Scheduled Castes Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989 and Rule 1995 The committee meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu IAS.
During the meeting he directed that the law and the government should be implemented to protect the rights of the Scheduled Castes. All departments should work vigorously as per the instructions. He directed the police department to immediately complete the investigation of the cases under investigation. He also said that the victims of crimes against Scheduled Castes should be provided relief by the government. Compensation is given. He told that this compensation has been given in about two dozen such cases in the district.

On this occasion, Social Justice and Empowerment Officer Ashok Kumar gave more information regarding this subject to the Committee. Gave it to the members. He said that people of SC community who are victims of atrocities are given compensation.
In the meeting, District Attorney Vazir Kamboj, DSP Mr. Lavdeep Singh, Principal Sukhdev Singh and Gurmeet Singh was also present.
