NewZNew (Panchkula) : Doon Public School held Farewell for Class XII – ADIEU-2016. The Chief Guests for the day – the Class XII students came all decked up in formals.
They were welcomed with Tilak Cermony. The event started with Lighting of the Lamp and Ganesh Vandana. Then the students took an oath with Candles that they would face the world with honesty and integrity and be good human beings. Then they participated in Fun Games and various rounds for the selection of the DOON ICON. The hosts (Class XI) and the Guests (Class XII) along with the faculty of the Doon Public School participated with full fervour and enthusiasm. Then Akriti of class XII gave a thanksgiving speech sharing the memories of her 14 years in the school and made everybody nostalgic.
Himani Thapar and Amrinder Singh were adjudged as the well Dressed Female and Male, while, Shubham Bhadu was declared as the DOON ICON. Then there was Cake cutting ceremony. There after the Deputy Chairman Brig Ranjit Banerji and Principal, Capt. Sanjay Anand, SM, blessed the students and wished them all the best for all their future endeavours.
The students and faculty then danced to the music of the DJ and had a great time.
