Dr. Vinod Kumar was honoured under the manuscript grant scheme: The annual award ceremony of Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi has concluded. The program was presided over by Hon’ble Governor, Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit.

The program was held at Randhawa Auditorium, Punjab Kala Bhavan Sector-16B, Chandigarh. The program started with the national anthem. Rajeev Verma, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh presented the bouquet to the Governor. Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi President Madhav Kaushik welcomed the chief guest and guests.

Writers were honored in this program. Under the selected manuscript grant scheme, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Vimla Googlani, Daljit Kaur, Ananth Sharma, Rekha Mittal, Shelley Vij, Anuradha Agnihotri, Manju Malhotra, Sangeeta Sharma, Surendra Pal, Rajinder Kumar Sondh, Piyush Kumar, Sukhwinder Kaur, Shayer Bhatti, Manpreet Singh, Jijisa Kharbanda, Vinod Khanna were honoured.

Anish Garg, Ajay Singh Rana Om Prakash Sondhi, Nirmal Jaswal, Jaswinder Sharma, Subhash Sharma. Pritam Domel got Balwinder Chahal, Gurdeep Gul, Renu Bahl were honoured for Best Book of the Year Award.

Recoginition Puraskar 2024 included Rajendra Kumar Kanaujia, Sumita Mishra, Pranath Pankaj, Swarajbir, Zarina Nagmi. Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi presented a memento to Hon’ble Governor. Vote of thanks was given by Manmohan Singh, Vice President of Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi.

Subhas Bhaskar , Prem Vij, KK Sharda, Rajesh Sharma etc were also present on this occasion.
