NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The enamouring aromas of South Indian delicacies filled the air as the latest edition of Elante Wednesday’s, the monthly engagement platform for women offered by Elante Mall, hosted a gastronomical delight for South Indian food lovers.

The ‘Southern Sojourn’, a cookery workshop on traditional South Indian delicacies, was conducted today at Elante Mall by tricity’s favourite chef Kandla Nijhowne and Chef Vinod, Head Chef for South Indian food at Sindhi Sweets, who shared traditional recipes of various South Indian dishes sprinkled with their personal touches developed over the years. They shared recipes for sumptuous delicacies like poha, sambhar, dosa, nariyal chutney and uttapam. They explained in detail the right way of preparing these dishes to the participants, who eagerly picked up the finer points shared by the experts, Elante Mall saw more than 80 participants learn the secrets of making authentic South Indian delicacies.

Sharing his views on the workshop, Manoj Agarwal, Head of Operations, Elante Mall, said, “Elante Wednesday’s is a monthly platform for womenfolk where they engage with experts to learn new skills every time. Residents of the tricity are known to be foodies with a penchant for trying out different cuisines. South Indian cuisine in particular has become hugely popular with the people of this region. So it made perfect sense for us to organise the ‘Southern Sojourn’ in the latest edition of Elante Wednesday’s, which gave our patrons the opportunity they were looking for to learn the art of making delectable South Indian delicacies from experts.”
