Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr. T. Benith said that the Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, Punjab Government has provided the facility of Baba Phool Government Old Age Home at Tapa.
This old age home has 72 beds, where the elderly are also staying. He said that any needy elderly who want to stay in the old age home can take their Aadhaar card and go to the Tehsil Complex, near Sewa Kendra, Handiya Road, Office of District Social Security Officer, Barnala or the office of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) related to their block and get their registration done.

The Deputy Commissioner also informed that the elderly who are staying in the old age home are being provided with rooms, health and medical services, food and drink, clothes, security and maintenance, library and other modern facilities free of cost.
