In a bid to enhance Women Empowerment in Rajasthan, the Northern Railways has come up with a unique initiative turning Gandhi Nagar Railways Station in Jaipur all-women station.

It is the first station in North India completely operated by women and the second under Indian Railways with around 40 women staff right from the station master to the porter. They even work in the night shifts.
