Food Producers & farmers from across the country visit Food Expo and Food Tech Show at 11th CII Agro Tech 2014

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Farmers and Food Cultivators from around the world are visiting the 11th CII Agro Tech 2014 to learn new food producing and cultivation techniques. The Hall No. 2 is currently hosting the much followed ‘Food Expo’ and ‘Food Tech’ Show at India’s Premier Biennial Agro Technology & Business Fair.

At the show, which always draws the maximum crowds farmers from all across the country are seen converging to empower themselves with critical food cultivation knowledge, and imbibe new-age farming techniques into their everyday farming. While the Food Expo focuses on processed and packaged food; the Food Tech show focuses on the rapidly growing Food Processing sector and showcases the state-of-the-art food technology, equipment & machinery for this sector.

Key exhibitors of the Food Expo include Chatha Foods Pvt Ltd, Tasty Dairy Specialities Ltd, Spices Board; while Frick India Ltd, Domino Printech India Ltd, Thermax Ltd, Janus Packaging Pvt. Ltd, Sunman Engineering Inc, Blue Star Ltd, Allround India veg. processing Machines Ltd, Bayer crop Science Ltd, Danfoss Industries Pvt Ltd, Control Print Ltd, are the key exhibitors of the Food Tech Show.

Neeraj Narula, Manager- Business Development HVAC, Danfoss Power Electronics Division says, “We are leading component manufacturer offering a wide range of products including Cold Chain Solutions Ammonia Controls, Compressors, Condensing Units, VFD – Variable Frequency Drives n and Electronic Controls. Our large clientele base includes OEMs, End Users, Contractors and designers. One of our major objectives of partaking in Agro Tech is to showcase and highlight our products especially the Cold Chain Solution unit. In addition, Agro Tech offers a great platform for us to interact with key stakeholders and farmers where we provide them information and product suggestion on setting up a cold storage business.  We look forward to meet up industry people for business networking and intend to promote our business objectives and product line”.

Ravjot Ahluwalia, a Food Supplement developer from Mohali, “I visit Food Tech expo every year to look out for latest technologies in the food processing industry. This platform gives me an opportunity to understand new technologies on offer and interact with industry experts on the same. Apart from new technologies, Agro Tech also provides me an opportunity to initiate networking and develop good industry relations. I am a regular visitor and am happy to see more visitors coming into the fair and open their horizons to new technologies.”

Krish Lal, a Haryana Government Agriculture Officer said, “I have been coming to the Agro Tech exhibition since a decade and have seen this fair grow. The fair has helped the industry develop and has made farmers aware of the new developments in technology and in the food processing sector. This fair motivates farmers to come out and discover new farming techniques and initiate them into their everyday farming. Now villagers are much more interested in visiting the fair and understanding new farming processes; and the entire credit for this goes to Agro Tech.”

Hari Rama, a Rice farmer from Srinagar said, “This is my third visit to the Food Tech Show at CII Agro Tech and every year I take back critical sectoral knowledge that helps me increase my yield. The information gathered at the show enhances my understanding of the latest food producing techniques and helps me in implementing them in my farms. Today, thanks to the critical knowledge captured from Food Tech Show I am one of the highest producing farmers in my area.”

Narayan Parashar from Najafgarh, Delhi said, “This is my first visit to Food Tech Show as back at my village many other farmers recommended me to visit the CII Agro Tech to understand latest farming techniques. Being a mustard farmer, I have to keep abreast with the latest happenings in the industry which will help me better my produce. I am overwhelmed by the information from this show, and I am confident that utilizing the knowledge back at my farms will help me increase my production by notches.”

Chandi Dev from Uttar Pradesh commented, “I am here with a group of farmers from Uttar Pradesh and are here to understand new techniques in food processing. While we are wheat cultivators, we also are diversifying into processed foods to increase our bandwidth of operations. Here at Food Tech expo we have already learned a lot of new –age techniques of food processing, and are positive to gather much more knowledge in the next three days as well. The knowledge that we gather from here will help us in setting up a successful food processing organization back in our village, which will bring greater prosperity to the village”.

Sohan Kumar from Haryana says, “I am on my third visit to Food Tech and I am here to purchase new food processing machineries for my newly setup food processing business. I have purchased all my farming and food processing equipments from the Agro Tech Show over the years as the level of information and comparative analysis available at the show is phenomenal. Over the years, I have garnered critical knowledge of the industry and it has helped me prosper in my business. I am much thankful to CII for hosting this mega event every year that helps farmers and budding businessmen like us to increase our knowledge base and in turn increase our produce and revenues.”
