NewZNew (Panchkula) : Woodlands House School (W.H.S.),Sec-8, Panchkula, had their Elocution & Singing Day on Saturday, 22nd Nov for K.G. and Pre- Nursery & Saturday, 29th Nov for Nursery classes at their school premises. Children started with prayer song, recited poems and sang songs which they learn throughout the year.
For Grand Finale they sang “We Are the World”, We Shall Overcome, “Woodlands School”, “Sunshine Wali Asha”, “A Great Grey Elephant” and Do- Ra-Me. Pre-Nursery children recited poems “I Hear Thunder”, “I Like the Zoo”, “Aeroplane”, “Come Little Children”, “ Chidya Rani”, “Upar Chanda..” with full enthusiasm.
Nursery & K.G. children recited poems “A Bear and A Bunny , “ “Cats Sleep Anywhere”, “A Rainbow” , “Five Sense Organs”, “My Mom Says”, “I Love the Sun”, “The Flying Moon”& “Save the Wildlife”.
Elocution is mainly to see children’s expressions, clarity of speech and pronunciation.
