[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ortis Hospital, Mohali celebrated its anniversary and 16 years of medical excellence in the city today. To mark this special occasion, the hospital organized an event for its doctors, nurses, support staff and well-wishers. The event was graced by Mr Ashish Bhatia, Chief Operating Officer (North & East), Fortis Healthcare and Mr Abhijit Singh, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
A new Patient Simulation Lab was inaugurated on the occasion. A simulation lab is a laboratory wherein real time medical emergency situations are created on mannequins. The experience gained during such trials enables buddying nurses and doctors to fine tune their skills and helps them to respond appropriately for better patient outcomes.
Ashish Bhatia, COO (North & East), Fortis Healthcare Ltd. commented, “In the past 16 years, Fortis Hospital, Mohali has grown from a flagship first into a noteworthy hub known for clinical excellence and distinctive patient care. This is a proud moment for us all, and an opportunity for us to reflect, rejoice and recapture the moments that have led to this landmark. We are happy to announce that we would be supporting the free treatment of 16 deserving patients as a mark of our commitment towards our goal of saving and enriching lives.”
The event began with a cake- cutting ceremony. It was then followed by felicitation of the employees who completed ten and five years of service at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. The nursing staff enthralled the audience with their bhangra performance. The grand finale was the show – stopper glamorous ramp walk. The attires and dance moves of the doctors carried forward the retro theme of the show.
Abhijit Singh, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital Mohali, said, “The Fortis family has stood united and grounded at all times. We have drawn inspiration not only from our clinicians and their teams who have worked hard to bring us where we stand today, but also from patients who value our expertise and have exhibited tremendous faith in us.” He continued, “In these sixteen years, we have never shied away from our responsibility towards society. Keeping up with our tradition, this year we will be supporting free treatment for 16 deserving patients. Whether it has been contributing towards better health care in the region through clinical excellence or philanthropic initiatives – we have always and will continue to put our best foot forward.”
