NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : The students of Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions organised farewell party for outgoing students. Various Cultural items were staged on this occasion. The Chief Guest at the moment was Ajaib Singh Mukhmailpur, Former Minister, and Punjab where as Guest of Honour was Harpal Singh, Member, Akali Dal.

The function began with lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Ajaib Singh along with chairman Gian Jyoti J.S.Bedi . While speaking at the moment Chief Guest Mukhmailpur said that such competitions unlock the talents of every individual student and help them on their way to a lifetime of self-discovery and fulfilment. Academic toppers, the supports winners and achievers of co-curricular activities were honoured by the chairman. The Chief Guest Ajaib Singh announced that the link road of village shambhukalan which connects the college to the highway will be got repaired on priority basis to make commuting better on this road.

The cultural programme comprising skits, mono-acting and songs was interspersed with delightful modern and traditional dances. Cat walk stole the show.Navneet Kaur student of Computer Science Engineering was crowned as Ms Farewell where as Prince Raj Mechanical Engineering student was declared as Mr. Farewell.The title of Miss Talented was won by Pooja Sharma of Computer Science department and the title of Mr. Outgoing was won by Arvind of MBA.
