Gurukul children showcase their talent in ‘MOSAIC’


Gurukul students pay homage to Peshawar victims in their special performance


NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Gurukul World School, Mohali celebrated its Annual day with a unique & first of its kind concept -Mosaic at Tagore Theatre. The show involved most of the students of the school, in a spectacular performance enriched with rich music, costume, dance, and mime. Mr. Kashish Mittal, additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, was the chief guest.

Tiny tots of the school created a beautiful ambience through their performance, following the traditional value, the function started with exuberant Ganesh Vandana. Folk, hip-hop, retro and theatrical dance forms have been employed as the grammar of communication.


Students also presented a fusion on Peshawar school massacre. They depicted the issue on stage, where a mother bade farewell to his son who did not want to go to school and watched him disappear into the thick crowd. This narrative enacted by the students was a tribute paid to those innocent souls. They gave a sterling performance on a patriotic song ‘Vande Matram’.

Mr. Kashish Mittal , thanked the school for making him witness the program and said “I feel happy to see the effort and innovation of the students. I would also appreciate the teachers and the management who have conceptualized and organized the entire event. The kind of effort they are putting to make children not only good students, but also great individuals, fills my heart with optimism and happiness.
