NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Gurukul Vidyapeeth announced a scholarship of 10 Crore which will be distributed to deserving students who are not able to afford fees due to their poor economic condition. Dr. SC Jain vice president Gurukul Vidyapeeth while speaking at the moment said that  considering it corporate social responsibility  this step is taken so that not even single  able student remain uneducated due to money in this region . He further added that scholarship will be given to the students according to merit list. At the moment he also threw light on the various scholarships offered by the Central Government.

 Dr. Manmohan Kumar Garg, Chairman, Gurukul Vidyapeeth, said at the moment that though Punjab is on top for its teaching institutes but still students of villagees, background and economically weaker section are lagging behind due to economic reasons. while keeping it in view this scholarship is announced for backward, weaker and underprivileged students through GVEEE for students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent .He told that first 100 students who will appear  in test will be given scholarship of 150000 and next 120 students will get 125000 as scholarship .In this manner total scholarship will be 10 crore for 2470 students .He further added that lack of information about the available opportunities is one of the major reasons that  parents and guardians are unable to   send their wards for higher education.
