NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Gurukul Vidyapeeth signed MOU with the IECEN, Milano ,Italy to begin international level fashion design centre of excellence. With this MoU Gurukul Vidyapeeth and IECEN are going to launch the design department named Design Punto, to provide students with new dimensions in design and fashion. Design Punto, the school of design, Italy recognizes the pedagogic importance of teaching the combined special mix of ‘project and management’. It will also involve courses from fashion to interior while having prospects to open Architecture and planning program.
Various courses are also introduced with the duration of 6 to 12 months. The eligibility for the entry in these courses is, 10+2 in any stream, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree any stream. The students enrolled for academic session, 2015 will get a privilege to attend fashion week, 2015 in Milan ,Italy. Faculty from the world’s prestigious schools will come and would get chance to attend multiple workshop/ seminar.
Tanushree Baruah, principal International analyst of indo Italian jcc India , said that The students will also take part in the world famous fashion show held in Milan where students will get chance to interact with international models from fashion industry. She further added that it is an effort to make best of two nations together as there will be faculty and student exchange programme between Italy and India.
