Handwritten Magazines of 397 Primary Schools made

NewZNew (Bathinda) : To bring quality improvement in primary education the Punjab government has started Pravesh (Primary Vidya Sudhar) project in primary schools under which besides the academic development, special attention is being paid to co-curricular activities as well.

Under this entire district’s all primary school’s students have prepared hand written magazines wherein the little writers have exhibited power of their writings. Under the district education officer (primary) Mr Rajinder Singh releasing magazine at one of the schools Mr Rajinder Singh said that the best creative magazines at cluster and block level will be given appreciation letters and the best 10 magazines of district would be selected and sent to the head office.

Also under it the month of November 2015 was especially celebrated as the month dedicated to mother tongue. During this month various competitions of reading and writing were conducted. On guidelines of state head office, bal sabhas are being held in all of these 397 schools. During these special bal sabhas students participate in poetical recitation, choreography, skit and quiz competitions presenting their creations. Under the guidance of their talented teachers, the students took part in these activities enthusiastically. Teachers read out performance reports and the schools’ handwritten magazines were also released.

These magazines contain original compositions of children such as poems, stories, pictures, thoughts, humor, quiz and puzzle etc. The DEO (primary) Mr Rajinder Singh especially participated in these bal sabhas and appreciated the talent of children. During the bal sabhas officials of education department, school management committees, panches and other important villagers were present.
