NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal is committed to making the upcoming ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016’ to be organised in Gurgaon on March 7 and 8, 2016, a grand success, and the participation of about 35 multinational companies from Japan, Korea and other countries, along with more than 200 investors from Haryana, in the roadshow programme organised recently in this series in New Delhi is an indicator that his efforts in this direction would prove to be fruitful.
During the programme, the Chief Minister and the Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu held face-to-face meetings with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and heads of companies interested in investing in Haryana in the fields of food processing, industrial park, electronics, health, civil aviation, solar energy, warehousing and skill development. Apart from this, several rounds of round table talks were held between investors and the Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, Town and Country Planning, Mr. P. Raghavendra Rao, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Mr. Devender Singh, Principal Secretary, Renewable Energy, Mr. Ankur Gupta, and Managing Director, HSIIDC, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal.
The Chief Minister also participated in a separate session organised by the investors of Japanese companies in Haryana, including Maruti Suzuki India Limited, and informed them about his upcoming tour to China and Japan from January 17 to 21, 2016. Information was also given about sending the first car built in Haryana in the 1980s by Maruti Udyog, which was established in Gurgaon, to Japan. Welcoming the Japanese companies, Mr. Manohar Lal said that it would be better if this was done during his tour.
Besides, a special session was organised for all investors, during which Joint Managing Director, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chief Executive Officer, Liberty Group, Mr. Adesh Gupta and Mr. Daljit Singh of Fortis Healthcare Limited highlighted the activities and achievements of their organisations in Haryana. They also hailed the Haryana Government’s New Enterprises Promotion Policy-2016 as one of the most investment-friendly policies which could serve as an example for other states.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the Fortis Group for enhanced cooperation in the Haryana Government’s scheme to open a medical college in each district.

During the programme, it was also proposed to make Korea a partner country for the upcoming ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016’.
