Haryana Chief Minister directed the officers to maintaining proper law and order situation

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal directed the officers to lay special emphasis on maintaining proper law and order situation and adopt zero tolerance towards crime.

He was addressing the senior officers of police and civil administration after reviewing the progress of announcement made by him recently for the district at Karnal today.

The Chief Minister also directed the officers to take effective steps to encourage the youth against drug addiction. He said the youth inclination towards drug addiction is matter of grave concern. However, he said the maximum complaints in this regard have been reported mainly in the areas adjoining Punjab border. He also directed the offices to keep a check on the incident of cow smuggling to Uttar Pradesh. He said that the State government is committed to ensure ‘Gau Raksha’ in the State.

Mr Manohar Lal said that the State Government had launched cleanliness drive in the State. He directed the officers that besides maintaining cleanliness, adequate arrangements should be made for dumping of garbage so as to keep the environment pollution free. He asked the officers to erect permanent dustbins having separate provision for solid, paper and oily waste at few places in the district on experiment basis and if this model proves successful, the same would be replicated in the entire State.

The Chief Minister gave directions to immediately redress the problem regarding the supply of urea and fertilizer and for this, he asked the officers to keep a check on hoarding of these items. On this, the officers apprised the Chief Minister that entire situation has been reviewed and assured him that there will not be any shortage of urea.

Minister of State for Food and Supplies Mr Karan Dev Kamboj, MLA Gharaunda Mr Harinder Kalyan, MLA Nilokheri Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, MLA Assandh Mr Bakshish Singh, Deputy Commissioner Mr J. Ganeshan, Superintendent of Police Mr Abhishek Garg and other senior officers of various departments were also present in the meeting.
