Paramjit Singh of RCED Chandigarh received the award
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Prime Minister Narinder Modi presented the National Award to “Honey Hut” for Best Performing Unit under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) for the year 2014-15 at a National Level Function of Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India at Ludhiana on Tuesday.
Paramjit Singh, Secretary, Himalayan Ancient Natural Science Society (HANSS) and Principal Director, Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) received the Award.
The unit has been promoted by RCED with the assistance of Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Govt. of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce.
Honey Hut outlets have been established at Chandigarh, Shimla, Manali, Amritsar, Rishikesh (Laxman & Ram Jhula), Nainital and Mussoorie.
RCED Chandigarh, a non-government organization, headquarted in Sector 35, has been training rural and underprivileged youths in various employable skills and has been carrying out various entrepreneurship development programmes in the northern Indian states for past many years.
