The ninth month of the Muslim year, Ramadan is the most sacred month in Islamic culture.

This is when the holy book that’s followed by Muslims, Quran, was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.During Ramadan, people abstain from pleasures, fast strictly from dawn to sunset, and pray to become closer to God.Families get together and celebrate.It began on the evening of Wednesday, 16 May.
