NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The Punjab Government has implemented e-governance system in the Transport Department so as to provide transport related services in electronic mode to the people. Under this system, the work related to the registration of the vehicles has been fully computerized.
Stating this, a spokesperson of the Transport Department said that the department has uploaded information with regard to all the registered vehicles on the website punjabtransport.org.
The spokesperson also said that the general public can check the particulars related to their vehicles by clicking on the link ‘’Registration Data Verification’’ in the website. He said that if there is any discrepancy in the particulars of a vehicle, then the owner can get it rectified by submitting an application with the concerned District Transport Officer.
