Infosys Organizes ‘School Principals’ meet’ at Chandigarh

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Infosys organized a School Principals’ Meet at its campus in Chandigarh on Saturday, May 30, 2015. A daylong session on “Current Trends in IT and Its Role in Education” was conducted with the objective of augmenting the role played by Information Technology (IT) and to lay emphasis on the significance of this field upon academic leaders.

Mr. Vikas Ahuja, Development Center Head of Infosys Chandigarh, in his welcome address explained the relevance of IT across business verticals. A moderated open discussion was held on how the latest trends in IT can be leveraged efficiently to modernize the conventional education systems.

With IT being a quintessential way of life in the 21st century, it is key to leverage IT to expand the reach of education and to make the medium more meaningful. By discussing the latest trends in IT, the meet encouraged educators to effectively implement various technologies to impart education in a more effective manner. The session also dwelt on ways to prepare the students to become technologically driven in order to grab the fruitful opportunities that will come their way in the field of IT.

The meet witnessed participation from prominent schools of the Tricity and received encouraging feedback from the participants.
