INIFD brings World’s Fashion Capital to City


Five-Day Exhibition marks Design Week at INIFD

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : After establishing foothold and a great learning experience at London, INIFD Design Students have brought London to our very own city Beautiful – Chandigarh. INIFD Interior Design students take you through the alleys of the most enchanting, beautiful, enormous, historic, exciting and fun filled city.

After Milan and London Fashion Week, International Experts Barbara Borra – a world renowned Style Consultant Clothes/Accessories & Fashion Design mentor direct from IMB Milan (Italy), Sara Corker – Senior Interior Designer faculty in London & Member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), Joseph Toronka – Celebrity Stylist, Fashion Expert & a faculty in London inaugurated and judged the INIFD Annual Exhibition 2016 creatively displayed by Interior Design students of INIFD Chandigarh.

INIFD presents #I Love London,  showcasing the grandeur of a city that is a perfect binding of past and present. Now you can visit & experience The Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Top Shop, Selfridges Madame Tussauds, Opera House, Red Telephone booth, Warner Bros. Studio- Harry Potter to name a few, all created by the Interior Design students.

The Jury panel also shared their expertise & knowledge with INIFD students at Chandigarh. They appreciated and gave their vital inputs to the students as INIFD students have been working hard in bringing London – the Fashion Capital, the biggest and most exciting cities in the world, which have been aesthetically designed and artistically created by the students of INIFD as an essential part of their course curriculum.

At the INIFD Annual Exhibition “#I Love London”, the Interior Design students take you to a trip to this exotic city – as you take a long escalator on the Tube. You can set your eyes on the Westminster Abbey- the pageant of British history, the London Eye- the Ferris wheel overlooking the Thames, depicted by a beautiful wall painting by the students. Take a perfect picture with the iconic Big Ben as it stands mighty against the backdrop of the Westminster Abbey. At the Buckingham Palace you can give your eyes a royal feast as you watch the royal guards in bearskin hats and red tunics, and the royal chariot in all its glory. You can also strike a pose with Brad Pit, Angelina Jolie and many more at the Madame Tussauds.

A walk through Harrods, Selfridges and Top shop will take you to the ultimate shopping destinations. The beautifully done window displays in all these areas is sure to mesmerize you with their artistically developed visual, colour, light displays.

One can explore the magic of the Harry Potter Studio Tour and get a taste of British high Tea at the beautifully crafted and manicured English Garden setting. Red telephone boxes and Double–decker buses, the Opera House comes alive in the royal settings. A walk through the Borough Market will set your spirits high and you will be amazed to see the Indian Punjabi flavours at the South Hall- A Place in London that belongs to “Sadde Punjabis”.

This Exhibition open for public at INIFD Campus, SCO 32-35, Sector 8-C, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh on all Five days: 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th & 16th March 2016 from 12 noon to 7 pm.
