Under the able guidance of Dr. Shailja Chhabra, Principal of Government College, Sector 1, Panchkula, Professor Kusum, in-charge of the Women’s Cell, and all the members organized a special program to mark International Women’s Day. The main objective of this program was to highlight the importance of women’s empowerment and inspire students to achieve their goals.
DCP Panchkula, Ms. Srishti Gupta, was the chief guest and motivational speaker. The program was conducted by Dr. Harpreet Kaur of the English Department. The chief guest was welcomed by the college’s Principal, Dr. Shailja Chhabra.
In her inspiring address, Srishti Gupta shared experiences from her life and service, and inspired the students to move forward with confidence, hard work, and determination. Describing education, discipline, and self-reliance as the keys to success, she said that today, women are achieving new heights in every field through their talent.
During the program, women’s empowerment, gender equality, and the important role of women in society were also highlighted. Both students and college staff enthusiastically participated in the program and benefited from the chief guest’s inspiring thoughts.
Finally, the college administration praised the Women’s Cell’s commendable efforts and pledged to continue organizing such awareness and inspirational programs in the future.
