Kashmir polls : BJP candidate Hina Bhat slaps presiding officer in Srinagar


10858514_1523436407938870_5803364974417480002_nNewZNew (Srinagar) : One of BJP’s women candidate Sunday turned violent during the polling for fourth phase of ongoing assembly elections in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Hina Bhat, the BJP candidate for Amira Kadal constituency in Srinagar slapped an on-duty polling officer in Srinagar. Hina had to face wrath of National Conference workers who were witness to the event in Chana Pora area of the city.

The incident happened in Methan Lal Nagar polling centre. Her violent behaviour reportedly angered National Conference workers. Hina had to take refuge inside as anti-BJP slogans were raised and tempers ran high. The police had to be called in to rescue the BJP candidate.
